Want to know know one of the best questions I can receive?

Where did you get your * insert article of clothing here* and me responding, A THRIFT STORE. My mom, grandma, and aunt used to take Hope and I everywhere thrift shopping and I found some amazing barbies and toys. I attribute all of my thrifting finds and my addiction to the lovely Karen Flores. While some moms I know spend hundreds of dollars on an outfit, Karen stays stunting in $3 tops, just one of the many reasons why I love the lady. It has always been in my life but the inciting incident as my freshmen english teacher taught me, was when I found the ULTIMATE boyfriend jeans at a thrift store in Ann Arbor this December. I didn't even try them on I paid my $4 and went about my day but when I tried them on I had an out of body experience. Since then my hunt for boyfriend jeans started. I go through every single pair of jeans in a store (man and women). Because it is the summer I have been making them into shorts. My friends always ask me what are my secrets to DIYing them, but in all honestly i take a pair of children's scissors because I am 5 and just start cutting! Since then I have found sweaters, cool shirts, and my most recent find at an upscale thrift...OVERALLS. Everyone and their mother knows I was on a jean hunt to find some overalls because I was not about to spend $40 on a cheap ass pair from Forever 21.

Do I wash every single item I get?

Most of the time if I am not too excited to wear them out (this has happened quite a few times)

I would say the majority of my closet right now is thrift store finds which I pride myself on. I can spend a very small amount of money while getting one of a kind pieces that not everyone has. Also, if I am not completely happy with a piece I can either cut it or dye it.

ALSO never forget to give your old clothes back to good will or any thrift store because clothing karma IS A REAL THING. you give and you get :-)
