And we back!!
Haven't posted in a while because moving your cluttered room into a small tiny dorm is no easy job. Last Sunday Hope and I moved out and are now living the "dorm life." Besides walking 10 miles a day and the hard journey it takes to climb of a lofted bed, dorm life has been great so far. Hope and I are blessed with some amazing roomies, friends, and floor mates. Now for the fun part... decorations! Each of us decorated our room According to our own style. Of course mine is trying to cover the walls completely and add as much yellow as possible.

most of the items on the walls are printed out pictures, posters from various places, and of course some art created by yours truly!

Besides my bed, ny desk area is my favorite space. I have a bullentin board filled with maps and post cards from California. I of course had to bring my salt lamp and fill the table with fake flowers and cacti. To the left is a homemade dream catcher that I'm actually pretty proud of even though my dad almost threw it away thinking it was trash...lol. Basically like my room at home, everything is filled with moons, sunflowers and the color yellow.

My advice to anybody moving into a small space away from home is to fill it with everything you love. Basic Hanging Lights will always make the room better as well as comfy blankets and pillows. Furniture wise, the best thing to get besides he basic fridge & microwave deal is a big futon. Natalie (roomie) bought a $200 one from ikea which came with a cover and pad. You can find one cheaper but ours is the nicest I've seen in my opinion:) I hope anyone who's moved out recently loves their new home! Hopes post will be coming soon about her dorm:-)
Peace out!
