If found, return to Electric Forest

A year ago from today I wrote in my journal "I have to go to Electric Forest next year" I still cannot believe that my absolute dream came through. This post is going to be all about my experience & some tips.

Tip #1

DO NOT FORGET A CANOPY AND TARPS. This year it did rain the first night and Alex realized his canopy had no cloth cover, thank God for my tapestry addiction because I used those too give us some shade after the sun eventually came out.

For apparel, do not overpack, I found myself packing all my fun rave clothes but I literally wore 3 outfits and some t-shirts to sleep in! GOTTA HAVE YO BRALETTES LADIES, What saved my ass the most was an impulsive purchase I made in March, a pair of pink Tevas that are now black because of the mud, but did they survive? yes, yes they did. Also a "camelback" backpack and fanny pack are absolute must haves for the week.

Crazy what a sandwich can do for your energy level.

Overall I had an amazing experience. Everyone working the event is so sweet and the festival is filled with positive energy. The art and venues are insane, I hope one day I can design one.

TIP #2 be ready to be out in the actual forest all day long. Everyday I packed an extra shirt, snacks, and a blanket (to sit down in) also my favorite thing of all time my yellow hammock.

^^^Fav yellow hammock featured here, I paid $70 for it at Moosejaw but it was so worth it, and I got the straps for F R E E, and the people who work at Moosejaw are the coolest. I am getting off track but they have a lot of cool camping supplies that will help make your forest adventure easier!

I strongly encourage to step out of your comfort zone and go to a music festival. Electric Forest I knew was a perfect fit for me and what I wanted to experience, I suggest researching the type of festival you want online and watch youtube videos to understand the atmosphere!
