Well here we are again, another week of summer has flown by! I think its important to appreciate the good in everyday. So for this post I will be sharing what I did for a week with my two cousins Iris and Theresa. They are two very special girls that I only see about twice a year. But every time they visit we have so much fun.
Friday: Ann Arbor Adventuring
On Friday I traveled about an hour to Ann Arbor which is one of my favorite towns ( even though I'm going to state next year)
Of course we shopped at Urban Outfitters, Pitaya, and other boutiques in the area. But our favorite place to sit down and have some coffee or tea is a place called The Lab.

People must think we are the craziest people because we always take pictures in here because of how cute the decor is. I strongly suggest going here if you ever visit the area! We also ate at our favorite place to eat Frita Batidos. I'm not kidding when I say we literally eat every singe thing on our plate. Its a cuban burger place that actually explodes in my mouth because of how good it is.

We also found this cute thrift shop that recycles old clothing that Mary Beth geeked out over. All their clothes were so inexpensive and they had the best rave clothing I've ever seen. So Beth and I will be back there before the next rave!!
The store Hollanders became our second to last stop of the day. The store has all kinds of art supplies, cards, and patterned paper. All four of us bought patterned paper to hang in our rooms. I will include what I bought when I do a dorm tour or room tour blog post:)
It wouldn't be a shopping trip if we didn't go to a thrift store. My uncle drove us to the salvation army and it was a huge thrift store! I was overwhelmed but ended up purchasing two things; a red dress for the fourth of July and 20 dollar LL Bean short boots that were in my size. I HIT THE JACKPOT!!!! Beth of course bought a vintage jumpsuit and dress that will be included in the next thrift store diaries blog post.
Saturday: Going Up North
Today was a 5 hour in the car type of day so not many pictures were taken this day. But my whole family drove up North to spend four days at our cottage on Grand Lake.

Sunday: Putting the sun in Sunday
Sunday I slept in and woke up to bright sunshine. The first thing I wanted to do was go on a walk and pick windflowers. Very Anne of Green Gables like of me right??? Anyways pretty much the rest of the day I played on the dock like a dead sloth and soaked in the sun.

Monday: A Special Guest
M0nday my whole family took the pontoon boat out for a ride. We jumped out of the boat into the cold water too. Also BOB CAME TO VISIT MEEEEE )( he's my boyfriend if you didn't know)
Tuesday: Fourth of July
The fourth of July will always be a favorite holiday of mine. There's something about a summer holiday filled with family ( and roasted hot dogs over the fire) that brings be so much joy. the weather was perfect so we spent the whole day outside. Later in the evening my Aunts and Uncles wanted to go to a c0ver band of ACDC in Alpena. My cousin Iris and of course Beth wanted to tag along ( side note we really don't know that much about the band of ACDC and probably have only heard one song that they've created) but oh well!! I put on my 6 dollar red thrifted dress and dashed out the door! We ended the night watching fireworks over the lake. How else would you want the fourth to end?
Wednesday: Mackinac Island
I always have loved Mackinac Island. I go every year and every time I visit I fall in love with the quaint houses, bikes, Grand Hotel, horses, and of course fudge. Beth left for lansing because of work so I went with my cousins. The first thing we had to do when we arrived at the island was eat. We ate at a cute preppy place called the Pink Pony and also shopped around. I rode a tandem bike around the island with Iris and actually had to swerve like a nascar driving to keep from taking out another guy on the bike. For the record he was riding wayyyy too close to me.
Thursday: Common Ground
Yeah you bet your buns I heard AJR's song "weak" and Alessia Cara live. Common Ground is a music festival that occurs every year in Lansing. Beth and I always try to go to two of the days ( rap and pop). Shoutout to Clay for giving us VIP tickets ( you da goat) The concert was s u p e r f u n
Friday: Zoo day and Dinner
Theres nothing like walking around a zoo and looking at animals? RIGHT?!?! It actually takes me back to my childhood. I entertain myself by voicing the animals. Such a unique hobby I master. My favorite animal is the red panda so I was very happy that he was not sleeping.

Enjoy these fun and creative pictures as us with the wildlife!!!
Later in the evening we got a nice dinner at Bravo with the Fam because it was their last day :(

Here's a picture with the cousins and our grandpa. He's my favorite person in the world. Plus Bob made an appearance:)
Saturday: FETTY WAP AND BIG SEAN GET LIT
Saturday we went to Common Ground with Bob, Beth, Claire, Madeleine, and Veronica
wanna know what I saw on Saturday. I saw my two best friends Claire and Beth on the big screen at the concert because beth made a sign that said " Bettway hearts Fettywap" Unreal. The concert was crazy. There was no room to breathe in the crowd. I even got in the middle of a fight and some woman stepped on my shin!! The bruise was totally worth it because I saw Big Sean. We finally met up with Matt and Sam to because the fight aloud them to push past people to get to us. So how blessed are we?
Well It was a great and eventful week. So many people made the week fun and I;m so thankful for them!
XOXO
Hope
